One block for each question component ticked as “search” (umbrella reviews add a study design block). In each block, look up the concept in the thesauri of your field and add the descriptor together with its entry terms and Spanish equivalents (double column: controlled vocabulary plus free text). Every term is complete and exact: no field tags in brackets, no truncation or wildcards, and no breaking concepts into parts. The laboratory joins terms with OR within a block and blocks with AND, and writes the syntax for each database. Limits (years, language, publication type) are applied with each interface’s filters. Engine: Tau Strategy Builder (Dr Joshuan J. Barboza).
Database, platform, exact date, limits applied and number of records. This table feeds the flow diagram and the search strategy appendix.

All citations follow AMA style (11th edition): numbered in order of first appearance, superscript in the final file, and a reference list with NLM journal abbreviations and the DOI of every source that has one. Every reference must be checked in PubMed (or Crossref for sources PubMed does not index). This list is section M11 of your manuscript and goes into the Word export.
Each reference gets a PubMed search link and a DOI link. When the PubMed connector is available in claude.ai, “Verify all in PubMed” matches each reference, returns its PMID and DOI, and proposes the AMA version built from the PubMed record.
Numbers written as [1], [2,3], [4-6] or superscripts in sections M1 to M10, in manuscript order.

- Up to 6 authors: list all. 7 or more: first 3, then et al.
- Surname and initials without periods: Page MJ.
- Sentence-case title, NLM journal abbreviation.
- Year;Volume(Issue):pages or electronic locator.
- doi:10.xxxx at the end, no URL, no final period.
- Citations: superscript, outside periods and commas, hyphen for ranges (3-5).
Detect, do not disguise
Paste a paragraph or a whole manuscript (one paragraph per line). The auditor runs the automatic checks of the P01–P27 catalogue; what it cannot measure is flagged for manual review. The aim is not to fool a detector. It is to write like a researcher who knows the study.
Yellow: overused vocabulary or an altered protected term. Red: template construction, em dash, assistant residue or placeholder. Tags at the end of each paragraph flag rhythm and structure problems.

Each pattern with its rule and a before and after. The protected terms in the last entry are never paraphrased.

A methods reviewer looking for the weak point
The reviewer receives your review summary, the checklist status, the flow diagram figures and the selected draft. It can write a full report (major and minor comments with an editorial recommendation) or question you one comment at a time.

Thank the reviewer, say what you changed and where. If you do not accept a comment, still respond, with an argument and a reference. The letter is built from every logged response.

Methodological foundations and reporting guidelines
Teaching guide
- Design session. Project tab 01 with the worked example, change the review type and show how the framework, reporting guideline, risk of bias tool and certainty system change.
- Search workshop. Each team builds its blocks, pastes the strategy into PubMed and logs the date and number of records in the PRISMA-S table.
- Protocol. The “Protocol” route in tab 03 follows PRISMA-P. Export the protocol to Word for registration in PROSPERO, OSF or IDESR.
- Writing. Each manuscript section goes through the style auditor before it reaches the tutor. Discuss in class whether the tutor was right: judging the AI is part of the method.
- References. Tab 04 checks AMA format and citation order; every reference is verified in PubMed (PMID) or Crossref with its DOI before submission.
- Before submission. A complete PRISMA checklist with page numbers, a flow diagram whose figures add up, a mock peer review and a rehearsed response letter.
